KANGAROO Easy Floor Screed  can be used immediately when mixed with water according to the specified ratio. Suitable for leveling floors with a thickness of 1-3 cm. Suitable for floor leveling, thin leveling, concrete floor for decorative materials, such as rubber tile, laminate, parquet.Can be used for floor leveling for rough or polished concrete floor. Surface Preparation

1. Use a broom to clean the floor 1 time. Inspect the existing surface to eliminate any obstacles that may hinder adhesion. Lime stains, uneven areas, dirt or oil stains should be scrubbed and cleaned thoroughly.
2. In case of wide floor areas with deflection or uneveness (DEFLEX), there is often risks of floor cracking. The floor should be reinforced by applying BONDING PRIMER (the effectiveness depends on the type of chemical used and following the product’s specifications).Or by applying KANGAROO Tile Adhesive using 6mm notched trowel. Allow the adhesive to set for 6-12 hours before leveling the surface and performing joint cutting to minimize cracking issues.
3. In case where the prepared area has been leveled, if the thickness of the leveling mortar exceeds 5 cm, wire mesh reinforcement should be installed to prevent cracking before proceeding application.

Mixing

Mix 1 bag of leveling mortar with 7.20-9.0 liters of water. The mortar should be thoroughly mixed to achieve a consistent texture without lumps. The mixing process can be divided into 2 types.

Machine Mixing

Mixing with machine takes approximately 5 minutes. Ensure that the mortar is consistent and it can be used immediately.

Hand Mixing

Mixing by hands (using a trowel) ensures that the mortar is consistent and it can be used immediately. Clean the floor before leveling.

Application

1. Pour the mixed leveling mortar onto the prepared area by pouring the mortar from one side to the other. While pouring, ensure that the mortar reaches the desired level by using a triangular stick to spread and level the mortar along the surface. Follow the lines of leveling mortar, covering the entire area as needed.
2. In case of rough floors, wait for the leveling mortar to set (matching the hardness of the surrounding floor). Then use a trowel to smooth and sweep the surface, moving from the same direction to the opposite direction, covering the entire desired area.
3. In case of polished floor, immediately sprinkle the mortar powder evenly across the entire area. Wait for the leveling mortar to set (matching the hardness of the surrounding floor). Then, use a trowel to polish the surface, moving from the same direction to the opposite direction, covering the entire desired area.

Precautions

– Once mixed with water, it is recommended to use  within 40-60 minutes. – Contained  cement, may cause irritation if it comes into contact with skin or eyes. – Rinse eyes thoroughly with water if irritation occurs and seek medical attention.

Storage

Keep in dry and shaded area. – 3 months of shelf life.

Suggestions

– Remove any residues of cement, dirt, or stains by thoroughly scrubbing and cleaning the surface.

– Prepare the surface by applying a bonding primer to enhance adhesion. Allow the primer to dry before applying the mortar.

– Proper usage and mixing of mortar will help reduce the risk of cracks.

– Lifting the mortar in a proper posture can prevent muscle strain and injury.
