PLUMB Skim Coat for Decoration and Repair Surface (White) can be used immediately when mixed with water in the specified ratio, without adding additional mixture. Produced from TYPE 1 Portland cement, contain a variety of specially selected aggregates and special adhesion prompter. Can be used on bare wall. concrete wall, precast wall, and soft wall. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Preparation

Clean the surface using a wire brush or suitable tools, scrubbing the existing surface to remove dirt or lime stains. In case of cracked or damaged surface, use suitable mortar to fill the cracks first, leave it dry for 2 days and apply a layer of  water before plastering.

Mixing

Mix 20 kilograms (1 bag) of PLUMB Skim Coat with 8.0-9.0 liters of water. Or mix PLUMB Skimcoat with water in a ratio of 2:1. Mix until the texture becomes consistent without lumps by using an electric mixer. (Mix one bucket of mortar per time) The plaster thickness should be 1-2mm, covering an area of 20-25 sq.m.

Plastering

Can apply one-coat plastering (ONECOAT) directly on the wall surface. Use a trowel to apply the plaster to the desired thickness of 1-2mm. When the plaster starts to set, use a wet brush to lightly moisten the surface and smooth it evenly using a trowel. Allow plaster to dry for 4-6 hours, then wet the sandpaper with water and lightly sand to clean off the dust, then leave it dry as standard before applying paint.

Precautions

– Once mixed with water, it is recommended to use within 40-60 minutes. – Contained  cement, may cause irritation if it comes into contact with skin or eyes. – Rinse eyes thoroughly with water if irritation occurs and seek medical attention.

Storage

Keep in dry and shaded area.

Suggestions

– Proper usage and mixing of mortar help reduce the risk of cracks. Lifting the mortar in a proper posture can prevent muscle strain and injury.
